ROOM HIRE CHARGES
Monday - Thursday: FREE (up to 4hrs*)

Friday - Sunday: Minimum spend of $8,000 on food & drinks required during any one 4hr time slot*. Credit card details required to be held on file in case minimum is not met.

*please speak to management if longer time is required as this may be possible to arrange

GENERAL
Hirers are to enter into an agreement with PJs in the City and are bound by the following conditions. Hirer’s should read them carefully before paying a deposit.

PERMISSION TO USE
PJs in the City has total discretion to accept or decline any application. The Hirer will not provide false or misleading information, or omit to provide information that will result in the application being false or misleading. Failure to meet any of the Conditions of Hire, either before or during a booking, will result in immediate cancellation of a booking. The Hirer should not use the building for any purpose other than that specified. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to see that their guests adhere to these conditions. The person making the booking is subject to these terms and conditions. The hiring may not be assigned or transferred to any other person, persons or organisation without prior written permission of PJs in the City. Hirers must ensure that Conditions of Hire and any specific arrangements or instructions are complied with at all times. No animals except “service dogs” may be admitted to the venue except with prior arrangement.

PAYMENT METHOD
Payment can be made by credit card, electronic funds transfer, cash and EFTPOS. Total outstanding balances must be paid no later than seven (7) days prior to the booking date. Unless the final invoice is paid on time, PJs in the City reserves the right to cancel the booking. Access to the venue will not be provided until the balance is paid.

RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
PJs in the City has a strict no BYO policy. No beverages of any kind will be permitted to be brought into the venue for consumption at the function by the client, guests, invitees or persons attending the function, except by prior arrangement with management.
PJs in the City reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol to intoxicated or disorderly patrons. These patrons may also be asked to leave the premises. Through the Liquor Act 2010, PJs in the City. has a duty of care for staff and the patrons and we will therefore act accordingly.

EQUIPMENT & DECORATION
Smoke machines, sparklers or any other smoke producing item may not be used in the building under any circumstances. Should any smoke detector or alarm be activated during your hire, additional charges may be incurred for the call out of the ACT Fire Brigade/ACT Emergency Services.
All helium balloons must be removed from the building before departure as their movement in the building may cause security alarms to be activated. No nails, staples, paint, screws, tape, or glues are to be used. All decorations are to be removed completely.

FIRE & SAFETY
Doors and fire services must be free of blockages and exit doors must not be locked. Highly flammable materials are not permitted within the premises. No gas heaters, lamps, fires or use of fireworks is permitted either in the venue or its grounds or the surrounding public open space. Use of fireworks will result in immediate shut down of the event and the forfeit of all bond monies and possible prosecution.

COVID-SAFE
To ensure the safety of our guests and our team, we’re taking some extra COVID Safe steps and kindly ask that you do your part to help us adhere to guidelines:

– If you or any member of your group is unwell or showing cold or flu-like symptoms, has travelled interstate in the last 14 days, or has been in contact with anyone self-isolating, please do not attend the event. 

– We ask that you keep within your group;

– Take note of any capacity signage in rooms and toilets and follow staff instructions regarding these restrictions;

– Please be sure to practice proper hygiene etiquette at all times, this includes sneezing or coughing into your elbow and washing your hands regularly;

– Extra sanitisers are located throughout the venue. We ask that you sanitise regularly and avoid touch points wherever possible;

 If applicable, we ask that all guests opt for touch-less payments;

– We ask that you use your own glass whilst at our experiences – DO NOT share drinks with any guests including those who have travelled with you.

– We would like to remind all visitors that ACCESS CANBERRA and ACT HEALTH are monitoring Canberra venues. We are committed to ensuring the safety of our staff and guests and we kindly ask for your patience and cooperation at all times.
